Summary of Tentative Agreement
The union and Michigan Tech reached a Tentative Agreement on November 4, 2022. A summary of changes from the current contract to the new contract and links to the applicable Tentative Agreements is as follows:
- Agreement from January 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026
- Section 24 - Increase shift differential from current (2nd shift: $0.40; 3rd shift: $0.50) to 2nd shift: $0.50, 3rd shift: $0.75
- Section 31 - Proposed language that allows for annual leave accrual for 9/10 month employees of up to 10 days
- Section 42 - Proposed increase to longevity pay as follows:

- For the duration of the contract, in the event that the university issues an across-the-board wage adjustment, the union will receive either the across-the-board wage adjustment or its negotiated wage increase, whichever is greater for the current fiscal year
