Human Biology

Biology lab

Immerse yourself in life science.

Understand how life is organized and how humans connect to their environment in a science-based major with ecology and evolutionary biology at its core. Conduct research, be an educator, or pursue an in-demand health career.

Human biology professionals sample, collect, and analyze evidence. They conduct tests and perform experiments. They work in diverse fields, including law, public health, and agriculture. Some students enroll in this major as part of their pre-health professional requirements—but that’s not required to pursue this degree. If you’re precise, detail-oriented, curious, and enjoy working through complex problems—independently or on a team, in the lab and out in the field—consider human biology.
