Husky Health is open to all benefits-eligible current employees. Please note: If at any time your benefit status changes (leave of absence, appointment change, etc.), your eligibility to participate and receive the monetary reward may change. You must be an active, benefits-eligible employee at the time of payout.

Yes. Retiree Husky Health allows retirees to earn $200 for completing a Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan Health Assessment and an annual physical. The $200 Retiree Husky Health incentive will be paid directly to you, allowing more flexibility and choice in how you use your wellness incentive. Retiree Husky Health is voluntary and confidential.
To receive your Retiree Husky Health $200 incentive a Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Assessment and annual physical will need to be completed during the current calendar year.

Blue Cross Health and Wellness Health Assessment
The Blue Cross Health and Wellness assessment is designed to help faculty and staff understand their current health and health risks. The health assessment is in an easy-to-read, interactive format, and asks questions designed to evaluate health.

The health assessment will take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Follow the steps in the questionnaire.
Answer all questions to the best of your ability. It will help to know your numbers: height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar.
Completion is voluntary. In order to participate in Husky Health Option One, you must complete the health assessment and an annual physical.

Michigan Tech has made a long-term commitment to the health and well-being of its faculty and staff to improve their health and to address prevention and health care costs. Research shows that financial incentives and a supportive workplace are effective ways to increase participation. Also, research indicates that high participation in wellness programs adds value for the organization and its employees.
You will receive your payout by the end of February. You must be an active, benefits eligible employee at the time of payout to receive your incentive payout.
