The Husky Health Checklist items MUST be completed within the reporting period of January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. The checklist will be due to Benefit Services on January 9, 2023 to verify participation in each activity prior to the incentive being awarded in 2023.

 

Husky Health 2021 introduced a new way to spend your Husky Health Incentive. Benefits eligible employees are now able to use their Husky Health incentive at approved outside vendors. Cash incentive payouts are no longer be available as an incentive payout option.

Health and Wellbeing at Michigan Tech

Michigan Tech deeply values health and wellbeing among its faculty and staff community. Husky Health is a free, voluntary, and confidential program that helps qualifying benefits-eligible faculty and staff learn helpful information about their health and wellbeing, encourages them to take steps to improve or maintain it, and earn monetary rewards of up to $450 for participating in Husky Health options. The goal of Husky Health is to encourage sustainable, healthy lifestyles that help prevent chronic disease and other health conditions, and manage rising healthcare costs. Additionally, Husky Health strives to provide faculty and staff with valuable tools and resources to support their emotional, social, and financial wellbeing.

Between January 1 and December 31, complete chosen Health Actions to earn up to $450.

Participation

Michigan Tech encourages and rewards faculty and staff to live a healthy lifestyle. Husky Health is a voluntary, financial incentive program available to all benefits-eligible Michigan Tech employees. Faculty and staff do not need to be enrolled in a BCBSM Michigan Tech health plan to participate. Read the wellness program notice of consent prior to participating in Husky Health.

*Disclaimer: In order to receive the Husky Health Incentive, you must be an active employee at the date the payout is received. Employees who are inactive prior to the payout date will no longer be eligible for the Husky Health Incentive. RSVP employees should fill out the Retiree Husky Health Form if their retirement date is on or before December 31, 2022.

Retiree Husky Health

Retiree Husky Health allows retirees to earn $200 for completing a Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan Health Assessment and an annual physical.  The $200 Retiree Husky Health incentive will be paid directly to you, allowing more flexibility and choice in how you use your wellness incentive. Retiree Husky Health is voluntary and confidential.
