Electrical Engineering

Power systems. Energy generation. Industrial controls.

Electrical engineers lead communications, signal processing, electronics, computing, and control. They design systems that generate and distribute reliable electrical power. Be ready for a career in the cutting-edge industries of tomorrow like renewable energy, hybrid and self-powered vehicles, robotic systems, industrial controls, and more.

Choose a concentration in biomedical applications, electric power engineering, environmental applications, or photonics to customize your degree. Work with lasers, microprobes, and robots alongside faculty members. Collaborate with industry on student Enterprise and Senior Design teams to design and develop products. Design and test electronics in our 1,230-square-foot, state-of-the-art Plexus Innovation Lab. Couple your engineering knowledge with entrepreneurial, business, and professional skills—and attend one of the nation's biggest career fairs. You can also earn a master's in one additional year through our Accelerated Master's program.
