Electrical Engineering Technology

Design. Draft. Bring concepts to life.

Electrical engineering technologists start as students who are fascinated by how things work—from robots to TVs to toasters. You’ll master the fundamentals of electronics and electrical power and graduate with the design, drafting, and technical skills to put engineering ideas into action. Focus your studies on computer engineering technology or power and industrial control.

Michigan Tech works with industry partners to make sure your skills are current and relevant. Master the fundamentals of electronics and electrical power in the NUCOR Industrial Control and Automation Lab. Get familiar with wireless communications, robotics automation, and microprocessor architecture. Research and explore the mechanical workings of exoskeletons in the Robotic Systems Enterprise. Learn from world-class faculty in small classes, allowing you to get to know your professors on a first-name basis. You can also earn a master's in one additional year through our Accelerated Master's program. You'll graduate prepared for a successful career—our program has a 100 percent job placement rate.
