Pharmacy Insurance Changes
BlueCrossBlueShield of MI will be replacing Express Scripts Insurance effective 01/01/2026. New Pharmacy Cards will be mailed to enrolled employees during the month of December. Your pharmacy ID has changed to match your medical ID. Since your pharmacy ID is changing, you’ll need to show your new Blue Cross ID card at your pharmacy when you fill your next prescription starting January 1. You can also download the BCBSM mobile app to show your virtual ID card at the pharmacy starting January 1.
Although your member ID will remain the same, your Blue Cross member card will be mailed December of 2025 to reflect changes to your BIN and Rx Group
- BIN: 610011
- RXGRP: BCBSMAN
Starting January 1, your prescription drug plan will cover drugs on the Clinical Drug List. To view the Clinical Drug List, go to bcbsm.com/clinicaldruglist. If you are currently using a medication covered through Express Scripts that is not on the clinical drug list, BlueCrossBlueShield of MI will be sending you a letter informing you of next steps for your specific medication in mid November.

There are three ways to transition to a three-month supply and avoid paying more:
- Visit bcbsm.com and log in to your secure member account. Click My Coverage, then Prescription, then Order online.
- Log in to our Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan mobile app and tap My Coverage, then Prescription, then Mail Order.
- Call the Optum Home Delivery pharmacy; they’ll contact your doctor to get your new three-month supply prescription.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan members, call 1-855-811-2223. TTY 711.
If your mail order drug prescription still has refills remaining, Blue Cross will be transferring these to the Optum Home Delivery pharmacy on your behalf. To ensure there are no gaps in care, contact the Optum Home Delivery pharmacy at least seven to ten business days before your first fill.
