Enhance Your Technical Expertise

Our graduate on-campus and online certificate develops advanced skills in computer networking analysis and communication systems and provides opportunities to use these skills in engineering applications. Communication systems and networks are ubiquitous to contemporary life where productivity is dependent on efficient management and operation of communication systems. Medical imaging, ATM operations and interbank connectivity, transport networking and security authentication—all these and more—will not be impossible without network and communication systems.

Who is This Certificate For?

This certificate is for qualified professionals who want to enhance their skill set and can be a foundation to continue toward a graduate degree. It is also valuable for degree-seeking students looking to develop a concentration that gives them an edge in their career path.

What You Need to Know

The advances we see in technology also means that communication networks and systems are complex and there is increasingly need for professionals with the technical expertise to ensure the smooth running of communication systems at the organizational level. Students in the graduate certificate in Network and Communication Systems program acquire broad based knowledge for contributing to diverse fields. In addition to automotive and security, graduates of this program can work in manufacturing, power generation and distribution, as well as the various autonomous systems and multi-level control function systems under development.

Admissions

To enroll in this certificate program, students must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a degree in a closely related field with at least three years of experience working in the electric-power-engineering field. See complete admissions requirements.
