Experiment with real-world applications alongside faculty—in 50,000 square feet and 12 stories of state-of-the-art labs and computer centers including the Microfluidic and Interfacial Transport lab, Advanced Automotive Engine lab, Advanced Space Propulsion lab, and the Skeletal Tissue Mechanics and Mechanotransduction lab. Invent an ultrasonic device that deters whales, dolphins, and seals from swimming into fishing nets. Use four of the major design software platforms used in industry in our Computer Aided Engineering Laboratory. Design a rocket engine to withstand the subzero temperatures of outer space or biomedical devices such as the Jaipur foot or a prosthetic knee joint.
