Mechanical Engineering Technology
Mechanical engineering technologists often bridge the theoretical world of the engineer and the practical approach of the skilled workforce. MET graduates are problem solvers, and they can adapt product designs to the manufacturing process, saving their companies time and money. Coming soon: the MET program will become part of the new Department of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology within the College of Engineering.
Surveying engineers measure the physical features of the Earth with great precision. They verify and establish land boundaries and are key players in the design and layout of infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and cell phone towers.
