Ford Co-Op Opportunity


Ford Co-op Program
The College of Computing is working closely with Enterprise Connectivity within Ford Motor Company to develop a holistic co-op program where students will work with Ford through the academic year and summers. Ford is looking to hire up to seven additional students - that will be added to an existing team of three MTU students - to work in the area of software engineering, with the likelihood of transitioning to a full-time position upon graduation.  View an info sheet.

Computing Learning Center

Everyone needs help sometimes, especially at the end of the semester. The Learning Center, on the first floor of Rekhi Hall, is open to ALL students enrolled in computing classes, and it's FREE! Stop by anytime from 2-5 pm and 7-10 pm, Sunday through Friday, and get the help you need for success in your computing courses.


Student Employment


Research Assistant
Dr. Xiaoyong (Brian) Yuan (CS, AC), Dr. Lan Zhang (ECE), and Dr. Chunxiu (Traci) Yu (BME) are seeking paid part-time research assistants to work in the areas of reinforcement learning and brain stimulation therapy. Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. The research is focused on developing reinforcement learning algorithms to enable real-time closed-loop brain stimulation therapy. This is an ideal position for motivated students interested in research about AI and neural engineering. Learn more here.


NSF Scholarship for Service


Scholarship for Service

New applications for the 2022-23 CyberCorps Scholarship are now being accepted. The application deadline is Feb. 1, 2022. The program provides full scholarships for up to three years of support to students who want to study cybersecurity at Michigan Tech. Visit mtu.edu/sfs for details.


Strategic Intern in Rail Program


Rail Transportation Scholarship

The Strategic Internships in Rail program is accepting resumes through December 10, 2021. Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship


SURF Fellowship

Applications for 2022 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURFs) are now open. Fellowship recipients will spend the summer working on an individual research project under the guidance of a Michigan Tech faculty mentor. SURFs are open to all Tech undergraduates who have at least one semester remaining after the summer term. Awards are up to $4,000. Applications are due by 5 pm on Feb. 11.
