Apply for Admission, Start Leading Scholar Award Application

Applications for the following fall semester open by late-June. After submitting your application, you may submit your Leading Scholar Award application, which is due by October 15. Check out our other competitive scholarships, too.


File FAFSA and Apply for Scholarships

File your 2021-22 FAFSA beginning October 1 (use 2019 tax information and our federal school code, 002292). Continue applying for competitive scholarships—some deadlines are as early as October 15.


Financial Aid Award Notifications Sent

First-year applicants who have official SAT and ACT scores on file and transfer students who have filed their FAFSA by December 1 will receive their financial aid award notification beginning December 31.


Understand Your Award Letter

Attend live webcasts on understanding your financial aid award letter. The presentations will be available on demand beginning the next day.


FAFSA Deadline

File your FAFSA by March 1 to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid.


Complete Outstanding Financial Aid Requirements

Check your Michigan Tech email regularly for messages and submit documents requested by the Financial Aid Office to ensure aid is processed correctly. Review and consider payment plan options.


Enrollment Deposit Deadline

Pay your $200 nonrefundable enrollment deposit online through your MyMichiganTech account or by check or money order. See the Michigan Tech Guide for more details.


Tuition Rates Set

Tuition rates are set by the Board of Trustees for the 2021-22 school year.


Fall Bills Available

View your Fall 2021 semester bill online at MyMichiganTech beginning July 9.


Pay Fall Bill and Apply for On-Campus Student Jobs

Fall 2021 semester bills are due by August 25. Begin searching and applying for student employment on Handshake.


Spring Semester Bills Available

Bills are available online in early December on MyMichiganTech and are due in early January.
