Apply for Admission

The fall 2026 application for admission opens August 1.

September–November

 

Apply for Competitive Scholarships

After submitting your application for admission, you may begin to apply for competitive scholarships, including the Leading Scholar Award (which is due by November 15).

December

 

File your FAFSA

File your 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1 (use 2024 tax information). Students applying for spring or summer 2026 should file the 2025-2026 FAFSA as soon as possible.

January

 

Financial Aid Notification

Financial aid notification begins in January for incoming students who file their FAFSA by December 1. Notification continues on a rolling basis for FAFSAs received after this date.

March

 

FAFSA Deadline

File your FAFSA by ​March 1​ to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid. You can file your FAFSA after March and receive a financial aid package.

April

 

Complete Outstanding Financial Aid Requirements

Check your Michigan Tech email regularly for messages and submit documents requested by the Financial Aid Office to ensure aid is processed correctly.

May

 

Enrollment Deposit Deadline

Pay your $200 nonrefundable enrollment deposit online through your Husky Portal or by check or money order.

June

 

Tuition Rates Set

Tuition rates are set by the Board of Trustees for the 2026-2027 school year.

July

 

Fall Bills Available

View your fall 2026 semester bill online beginning July 8. Review and consider payment plan options.

August

 

Pay Fall Bill and Apply for Student Jobs

Fall 2026 semester bills are due by August 19. Begin searching Handshake for employment opportunities on and off campus.

December

 

Spring Semester Bills Available

Bills are available online in early December and are due in early January.
