A beloved Michigan Tech tradition for more than a century, Winter Carnival features huge, intricate, student-built snow statues and a full slate of events that showcase our unique campus and environment. From broomball playoffs to human dogsled races, no one celebrates winter quite like Husky Nation. Organized by the members of MTU's Blue Key National Honor Society, Carnival brings thousands of visitors to the region each year.
The Leading Scholar Award is Michigan Tech’s premier scholarship. It is awarded to incoming first-year students who have not only excelled in their academic pursuits but also demonstrated outstanding leadership and a passion for serving others.
