Apply for Admission and Start Leading Scholar Award Application

The Fall 2019 application for admission opens mid-June. After submitting your application, you may submit your Leading Scholar Award application, which is due by October 15. Check out our other competitive scholarships, too.


File FAFSA and Apply for Scholarships

File your 2019-20 FAFSA beginning October 1 (use 2017 tax information and our federal school code, 002292). Continue applying for competitive scholarships—some deadlines are as early as October 15.


Financial Aid Award Notifications Sent

Incoming students who have filed their FAFSA will receive their financial aid award notification beginning December 31.


Understand Your Award Letter

Attend live webcasts on understanding your financial aid award letter. The presentations will be available on demand beginning the next day.


FAFSA Deadline

File your FAFSA by March 1 to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid.


Complete Outstanding Financial Aid Requirements

Check your Michigan Tech email regularly for messages and submit documents requested by the Financial Aid Office to ensure aid is processed correctly. Review and consider payment plan options.


Enrollment Deposit Deadline

Pay your $100 enrollment deposit online through your MyMichiganTech account or by check or money order. Deposits are refundable if you cancel your acceptance by May 1. See the Michigan Tech Guide for more details.


Tuition Rates Set

Tuition rates are set by the Board of Trustees for the 2019-20 school year.


Fall Bills Available

View your Fall 2019 semester bill online at MyMichiganTech beginning July 12.


Pay Fall Bill and Apply for On-Campus Student Jobs

Fall 2019 semester bills are due by August 28. Begin searching and applying for student employment on Handshake.


Spring Semester Bills Available

Bills are available online in early December on MyMichiganTech and are due in early January.
