Biking on Campus

Bicycling at Michigan Tech is an ideal way to get around and have fun. We’re working to make it easy and convenient to use a bike for transportation to and from campus, as well as provide parking and other facilities on campus.

Michigan Tech provides several bike racks, covered bike shelters, and winter storage options throughout campus.  There are also complimentary bicycle repair stations located on Phoenix Drive, two on the main Campus Core, one at the Main Trailhead, and one each in both Upper and Lower Daniell Heights.

All bicycles are required to be registered with Public Safety and Police Services.

Alternative Transportation

The Office of Sustainability and Resilience encourages campus-goers to seek alternative transportation methods whenever possible. Walking, biking, and even snowmobiling help minimize traffic congestion in Houghton and provide an enjoyable experience.

Outside of the services that Michigan Tech provides, there is a large array of transportation options available to the campus community.
