Transportation Services offers a free, year-round shuttle system for students, employees, and visitors of Michigan Tech, serving campus, downtown Houghton, Hancock, and the Memorial Road shopping area.

Five Main Shuttle Routes

Husky Shuttle (Weekdays during the Fall & Spring Semesters)
- Campus Loop
  - Includes the Memorial Union Building (main shuttle stop on campus), the SDC, Daniell Heights, and other places in between
Houghton Commuter Shuttle (Weekdays during the Fall & Spring Semesters)
- Scheduled service throughout Houghton
Hancock Commuter Shuttle (Weekdays during the Fall & Spring Semesters)
- Scheduled service throughout Ripley and Hancock
Evening Shuttle (Weekdays during the Fall & Spring Semesters)
- Hybrid shuttle that includes stops from the Husky Shuttle and both City Commuter routes
Break & Saturday Shuttle (Saturdays during Fall & Spring Semesters and Tuesday-Saturday during breaks & the Summer Semester)
- Hybrid shuttle that includes stops from the Husky Shuttle and both City Commuter routes

Shuttle Rules

Shuttles are provided by Transportation Services free of charge as a convenience for our students, faculty and staff. To ensure a safe and on-time shuttle experience please follow the passenger guidelines. Riders should arrive at the shuttle stop 5 minutes prior to the departure time and riders should also be aware that the shuttle may arrive upwards of 5 minutes late due to situations out of their control - traffic, weather conditions, road closures, and other unexpected issues.

Rider Guidelines

Failure to abide by these rules may result in loss of shuttle privileges:

In accordance with University policy, all tobacco, smoke-free tobacco, and/or vapor use is prohibited at all times
Shuttles are only permitted to stop at the pre-designated locations
Wait until the shuttle has come to a complete stop before approaching the shuttle
Riders must be ready and waiting at the shuttle location stop at least 5 minutes prior to departure times
Never approach (e.g. "chase after") or otherwise try to stop the shuttle once it has left a stop location

Carry-On Baggage Limits

Bags must be able to be carried on and off the shuttle in one trip and secured on your lap or directly under your seat at all times

Large purchases (bikes, electronics etc.) cannot be transported on the shuttles
Flammables, such as propane, are NOT permitted at any time
Aisles must be clear at all times
Strollers (if traveling with an infant) must be folded and stored in back seat of shuttle
Firearms and weapons are strictly prohibited
