Lot 10W - Flex Lot
On the east side of campus is our Flex Lot. This designation allows Transportation Services to reclassify the lot based on the daily or weekly needs of the University. Lot 10W may be assigned for Faculty/Staff, Residential Student, Event, or Visitor parking—or remain in its default classification as Standard Commuter parking.
When the Flex Lot is not needed for another purpose, it will remain a commuter lot.
If the lot’s classification changes, Transportation Services will notify affected permit holders via email, update the signage at the lot entrance, and post the current designation on the Transportation Services website.
Please pay close attention to the Flex Lot classification. Changes are made to meet University needs, and vehicles parked without the appropriate permit for the current designation will be cited, as noncompliance directly impacts the intended use of the lot.

Designated accessible parking spaces are available to drivers who possess a valid state-issued disability parking placard or license plate. In the State of Michigan an accessibility placard or license plate is issued by the Secretary of State after submitting a Disability Parking Placard Application. View the State of Michigan's regulations for disability parking.
All Handicap Placards and/or License Plates are required to be registered with Transportation Services. Please bring your Drivers License and your Placard or License Plate Registration Card to the Transportation Service Office to have it registered with your account.

Although not all states require a trailer to be registered, in order to be issued a permit, you must have a state-issued registration on the trailer.

Transportation Services recommends that if you need a place to simply store your trailer for a long period of time that you purchase a permit. If you will need frequent or regular access to the trailer, we suggest you look for other options.
If you remove your trailer from its parking space in the winter and when you return you are unable to properly park it because of the snowfall, plowing, or someone else parked in your spot, you would be required to make the appropriate arrangements to park it elsewhere.
ALL vehicles of this type must be registered with Transportation Services. Permits are $40 (Valid August 15 - April 30)
- The University's snowmobile parking lot is located on the north side of Phoenix drive near the Facilities Storage Building.
