Michigan Tech Student Rush Tickets

The Experience Tech Fee includes Student Rush tickets to Rozsa Presenting Series, Michigan Tech Music, and Michigan Tech Theatre events for currently enrolled Michigan Tech students.

What is Student Rush?

"Student Rush" is a general term referring to discounted tickets to an event or attraction for those with student IDs. Michigan Tech Student Rush Tickets are sponsored by Experience Tech Fee, making events in the Rozsa Presenting Series, Michigan Tech Music Series, and Michigan Tech Theatre Series free or discounted to currently enrolled students and one accompanying guest.

How do I Reserve my Student Rush Tickets?

There are two ways to get Student Rush Tickets:

Advance Rush (Recommended)

For events with reserved seating, students must reserve their free tickets in advance. To book, create an account and log in to the Rozsa's ticketing page using MTU Single Sign-on (SSO) student login credentials or contact the Rozsa Box Office for assistance.

  • Michigan Tech Students, when logged in using the MTU Single-Sign on, will be able to book two free tickets for all eligible events. Experience Tech Fee must be paid and processed before Student Rush Tickets become visible.
  • Students must reserve both the Experience Tech Student Ticket, and the Experience Tech Guest Ticket for the event at the same time as the system only allows one free ticket transaction per event per student. Experience Tech Guest Ticket cannot be claimed without also reserving the Experience Tech Student Ticket in the same cart transaction.
  • Patrons requesting a seat reassignment or exchanging a ticket for alternative seating will incur an exchange fee, assessed per individual ticket transactions. This policy applies uniformly to all ticketing tiers, including general public purchases and Experience Tech Student Rush Tickets.

Reserve Tickets

Same-day Rush

For general admission events, advance reservation is encouraged, but not required. Booking early guarantees your spot and helps prevent long lines at the entrance. Otherwise, same-day tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis starting one hour before the show. Events may sell out if you have not reserved tickets ahead of time.

Availability and reservation requirements vary by event.

Some conditions apply:

  • Current enrollment, and a paid and processed Experience Tech Fee is required to claim your Student Rush Tickets tickets.
  • Visit the Rozsa Box Office for instructions on where to tap in for same-day rush tickets.
  • Students must be present with their own valid HuskyCard to receive Student Rush tickets.

  • A student and one guest can receive tickets with a valid HuskyCard (student must be present for guest ticket to be valid).

  • Tickets are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

  • Seating for both Same-Day and Advance Rush is first-come, first-serve.

  • Students must reserve both Student Rush tickets per event, per transaction to claim both.
  • Patrons requesting a seat reassignment or exchanging a ticket for alternative seating will incur an exchange fee, assessed per individual ticket transactions. This policy applies uniformly to all ticketing tiers, including general public purchases and Experience Tech Student Rush Tickets.

Creating a vivenu Student Account

Starting June 2026 the Rozsa and Michigan Tech Athletics will launch a new ticketing system, at rozsatickets.com. While our main website, mtu.edu/rozsa remain your primary resource for the full events calendar, all ticket bookings will move to the new platform.

After June 1, 2026, Michigan Tech students can create their vivenu account using MTU Single Sign-on (SSO) student login credentials. Once logged in, students covered by the Experience Tech fee will be able to reserve their free Student Rush and guest tickets directly through the ticketing site.
