Responsible conduct of research (RCR) is an important aspect of being an effective scholar. The goal of this course is to develop understanding and awareness among researchers and academicians about the importance of conducting ethical work and to be honest, fair and accurate when reporting results. Although, as the name suggests, this is essentially a responsible conduct of 'research' course, in general it provides every student (with or without research background) with a working knowledge of responsible, ethical and effective scholarship.
Michigan Tech has developed several training programs to support graduate students in their professional development and fulfill obligations to sponsors of our research program.
