International Profile Graduate Certificate

The International Profile Graduate Certificate recognizes advanced study in any field, but with a substantial international perspective that demonstrates an ability to bridge cultural and language barriers and collaborate effectively.

The certificate is designed to:

  • encourage students to pursue international research, internship, and course opportunities;
  • deepen students' understanding of world cultures and global issues;
  • develop a world-wide perspective on science, engineering and social issues, such as global change and natural hazards;
  • encourage a basic proficiency in another language; and
  • enhance intercultural communication skills.

The certificate also requires students to complete an international experience.  Students must take a minimum of six credits at a university or research center or undertake supervised course work or research outside of the United States over at least one academic semester.
