Free Python Workshop

A free, online Software Carpentry in Python workshop will take place February 20-24, daily from 3-5:30 p.m. Michigan Tech students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. The workshop covers basic Python concepts and tools, including program design, version control, and task automation. Sign up by Feb. 10. Learn more.

Art in Silico: Call for Submissions

The inaugural Art in Silico is a computational art exhibition and event series that examines the expressive world of creative computation and the confluence of technology and art, connecting circuit board to canvas. The deadline to submit is March 3, 2023. Learn more.

Employment Opportunities

The College of Computing is accepting applications for the role of Communications and Front Desk Student Assistant. The student will help the communications director increase social media engagement on the College of Computing's social media channels and greet office visitors. The position starts immediately and ends April 28, 2023. Learn more.

Sidike Paheding, Applied Computing, is accepting applications for one or two hourly-paid research assistants to assist in conducting machine learning-related research. The basic requirement is to have proficient Python programming experience and good knowledge/experience in machine learning. Experience in deep learning is a plus. Undergraduates and graduate students are invited to apply. Learn more.

Computing Learning Center

Get the help you need. The College of Computing Learning Center (CCLC), on the first floor of Rekhi Hall, Room 118, is staffed by upper-level undergraduate students and supported by the College of Computing. The friendly CCLC coaches are available to help succeed in your computing courses. No appointments are necessary. Free. Open to all students taking computing classes. This fall, the Learning Center is open Sunday-Friday according to the schedule here.
