Who can be a Homecoming Team?

Any active student* can be part of a Homecoming team! Gather your student organization, residence hall, or just a group of friends and join the fun. Just be sure your team meets the minimum member requirements for each event you register for.

*On occasion, special guests may participate in select events. They are not eligible for awards and must abide by all rules and regulations.

What is required of a Homecoming Team?

Each Homecoming team must send one of its members to the required team meeting. Failure to attend the meeting will disqualify your team from all of Homecoming.

What is the difference between the Competitive League and the Non-Competitive League?

The main difference between the leagues is point tracking. For a Non-Competitive League team, points will not be tracked. Competitive League Team points will be tracked via the scoresheet!

Who gets a trophy?

Teams that win first, second, and third place in the Competitive League will win a trophy. The team with the fastest Cardboard Boat, regardless of the designated League, will win the “Fastest Boat” trophy. The Congeniality Award is awarded to the competitive or non-competitive team that best exemplifies generosity, positivity, and Husky spirit throughout Homecoming Week.

Who can be a Court Candidate?

Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University.
Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2025 fall semester and have completed at least 48 credit hours
Candidates must be involved in at least one registered Homecoming team.

Previous Homecoming Royalty finalists are ineligible.

What is required of someone running for Court?

Candidates must be able to attend all required dates and most Homecoming events. Exceptions will be made for class; however, undue absences could lead to disqualification. The list of dates below is the minimum requirement.

The Candidate/Sponsoring team must provide a nomination fee of $20. For Residence Hall candidates, approved documentation is submitted with IB number.

Wild Rumpus Hunt – Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Check Student Leadership and Involvement's Instagram every day for clues about where the crown is hiding. Locate the crown before 4 p.m. and return it to MUB 112 (Student Leadership and Involvement office) the day the clue is announced to receive a prize. This is open to all students regardless of team participation. Check Instagram each day for a new chance to search and win!
