Companies and agencies from Midwest states. Identifying real-world internship opportunities. Career Coaching and Resume building. Interview skills. Making connections for careers in forestry, ecology, wildlife and conservation, and natural resource management. Students building practical skills and experience.
The Natural Resource Career Fair is hosted by the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science and is the only one of its kind in the Upper Midwest. Developed to serve the needs of our students, focused on natural resource industries, agencies, and private consulting companies, separate from and complementary to the larger Michigan Tech Career Fair.
November 12, 5–8 p.m. - Companies and Agencies present to students about the values and benefits of working for them, as well as highlighting summer internship opportunities, as well as full time employment.
November 13, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. - Career Fair opens and is held in the U.J. Noblet Forestry Building's atrium. Booths hosted by 20-25 companies and agencies.
Students should come prepared with resumes. Professional attire encouraged. Even if your job will be in the field, your first impression is not. Some companies will schedule interviews following the Career Fair.
