Operation and Equipment
Our established operations and equipment funds allow us to maintain our rankings as one of the premier North American forestry schools, conduct meaningful research with global impact, and to maintain the places and processes that make our programs here in the wilds of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula so uniquely effective.
Ford Center and Forest
Forest Resources and Environmental Science Operation
You can help provide unrestricted funds that are directed toward the greatest need for forestry operations.
Current greenhouses, operating at near capacity, have outgrown available space. We need more room for our revenue-generating research. Help us fund construction of an additional greenhouse.
Hammer's Endowed Field Equipment Fund
Contribute to the Hammer’s Endowed Field Equipment Fund, used to purchase equipment to support the School’s educational mission.
Otter River Cabin Fund
Despite years of faithful maintenance and support by the Michigan Tech Forestry Club, generous alumni, and others who treasure our beloved 80-year-old riverside retreat, it is no longer habitable. The cabin has provided generations of Huskies with both solitude and community—a place to simply be in nature, or focus on projects. It embodies all the reasons we are passionate about what we do. We need your help to ensure this signature School experience is available to students and alumni now and in the future.
