(Howard) Paul Gay earned the degree Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1970. Following graduation, Paul worked in Chicago for Underwriters Laboratories and Northrop Hallicrafters. Following graduation Tom Simonen went on to receive a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. After appointments at Hughes Aircraft, Max Planck Institute in Munich, and Princeton University, he joined the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 18 years as a physicist and became program leader for magnetic fusion experiments. Michigan Tech is mourning William "Bill" G. Jackson, who passed away peacefully on March 1 in Scottsdale Arizona. Jackson graduated from Michigan Tech in 1958 with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
