Richard G. Cottrell earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1973 and his MS in Systems Science from Michigan State University in 1976. Rich retired as CMS’s director of system planning and protection in 2010. During his thirty-seven-year career with CMS/Consumers Energy, Rich was involved in all aspects of the planning, engineering, and design of electric transmission distribution lines and substations . . .

Lyman Morikawa earned the degree Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1971 and was commissioned into the US Army Corps of Engineers. He continued on to receive a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii in 1990. After leaving Michigan Tech, he worked at the Hawaiian Commercial amp; Sugar Company (HC amp;S) in factory automation and power generation . . .

Gerald White entered Michigan Tech in the fall of 1970 after a four year tour in the Air Force as an electronics technician. He completed degrees in electrical engineering and engineering administration in 1973. Following graduation, Jerry worked as a process engineer with Owens-Corning Fiberglas, also completing his MBA. Following a stint with Babcock and Wilcox he joined the Magnetics Division of the Allen-Bradley . . .

Christie graduated from Michigan Tech in 1993 with a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering. She also received Modern Language Certification in French at this time. After graduation, she accepted a position with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn as a Product Engineer. During her career with Ford she spent six months in Dunton, England as a Calibration Engineer-Foreign Service Specialist with the Ford-Small . . .
