How to become a certified Michigan Tech Online Course Reviewer

Every academic department will want to have a few certified online course reviewers

  1. If you do not already have a log-in account on Michigan Tech's online Quality Matters (QM) portal, go to https://www.qmprogram.org/myqm/ and create your log-in there.  Email Thom Freeman, Michigan Tech QM Coordinator, for additional information or assistance.
  2. Sign-up for and pass the Applying the QM Rubric training course.   Go to QM Training and select Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) in the Filter by Training Type: drop down menu, Higher Education in the Filter by Program: drop down menu, then Online from the Filter by Training Formats: drop down menu.  Then click the Filter button and choose the start date you want from the list of available sessions.
  3. Michigan Tech is an institutional QM member so the registration fee is $200.00. Please use an MTU issued Individual/Department Purchase Card to pay the registration fee by choosing "credit card" as your method of payment. Please contact Angel Cooke if you have questions regarding the registration payment.
  4. For reimbursement of the $200.00 registration fee, by the Jackson Center for Teaching and Learning, please email your Certificate of Completion for the Applying the QM Rubric course to Angel Cooke.
