Reading as Inquiry

Michigan Tech’s summer Reading as Inquiry initiative—known as the Summer Reading program—is meant to prepare incoming first-year students for college-level reading, inquiry, and discussion. The summer reading experience provides a taste of what your academic life will be like—you’ll be expected to read the book before arriving to campus and be prepared to discuss it during a class-like group session during Fall Orientation Programs.

The title of the Fall 2021 book selection is "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline.

Alternative formats may be available to students who qualify for special accommodations. Please contact Michigan Tech's Student Disabilities Services office at 906-487-3558 or email Christy Oslund.
