Orientation Schedules

Michigan Tech's orientation for incoming students consists of two required parts: a Summer Session and the Fall Orientation Week. This comprehensive approach means you'll be fully prepared for academic success.

All incoming students must attend both a Summer Session and the Fall Orientation Week.


Summer 2026 Sessions

The schedule is the same for each of following two-day sessions:

  • May 31‑June 1
  • June 7-8 
  • June 12-13
  • June 19-20

McNair Hall Belongings can be left in the lobby or you can bring your things with you to hand off to parents or family.

9 – 9:50 a.m. Academic Session -- Prepare for your Advisor Meeting Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts - (Bldg. #10) Staff will go over the day's events, provide information about our Essential Education curriculum and answer general questions. For Students, Parents, and Families.
10 - 11:30 a.m.

Parent Meeting -- Meet the Department Chairs and Academic Deans
