Working in the snow and cold to build the best snow statue is a Tech tradition.

Student Affairs includes a diverse variety of departments, staff members, and programs, but our focus on student success is single-minded and unwavering. Our programs, services, and initiatives aim to assist students in becoming the individuals they were always meant to be.

Welcome to Michigan Tech!

We're so glad to have you as part of our community of Huskies.  As you further your education and are challenged in the classroom, I strongly encourage you to explore and utilize other campus resources and opportunities that may enhance your overall success and experience.  Try something new - join a student organization that interests you, play broomball, study abroad for a semester, or maybe attempt to check off all the items on the Husky Bucket List before you graduate.

Don't be afraid to seek help.  Your Michigan Tech path may not be easy, but help is here.  Academic success coaches, learning centers, academic advisors, and so many other tools are available to provide support and help you on your path to academic success.  You also have the resource of skilled staff within Student Disability Services and the Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being.  You're part of the Michigan Tech family and we care about your success, both inside and outside the classroom.

As members of the Husky pack, I urge you to look out for each other and demonstrate empathy, care, and tenacity in all you do.  Together, we can strengthen our diverse community of learners and continue to advance Michigan Tech as a world-class institution.

Again, we're thrilled to have you here and don't forget - we're here to help.
