Requirements

  • Actively enrolled as an Michigan Tech student
  • Be present during poster competition
  • Standardized poster size of 48 inches (width) x 36 inches (height)
  • Drop off poster in the Great Lakes Research Center, Room 202 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on October 1st.

More information

  • The poster competition is judged by a judging board, assigned two per entry with the final score being the average between the two judges' score.
  • Posters are scored on a scale of 1-10 in the following categories
    • Background/Hypothesis
    • Relevances/Significance
    • Having Clear/Linked Methods
    • Clear/Strong Conclusions
    • Overall Organization
    • Oral Presentation
  • Poster printing costs can be covered by the ICC if printed at the MTU library. Contact townsend@mtu.edu with your reciept for reimbursement.

Showcase 2026 Event Features

In addition to the student poster competition, this year's showcase will feature a keynote from Pavan Muzumdar, Chief Operating Officer of Automation Alley, and a panel to follow, likely in the context of industry development and collaboration in the Upper Peninsula. More details to come!
