PhD/M.S. Students -Dr. Amna Mazen (AC, MMET)

RRSL Lab (Robotics and Remote Sensing Lab)

  • Fully funded position (Stipend + Tuition)
    • Working with digital twins, physics-based modeling, CAD modeling, sensor integration, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and edge computing.
  • Required skills/prerequisites:
    • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience with digital twins, simulation, or virtual modeling of physical systems.
    • Experience with IoT systems, sensors, edge devices, Raspberry Pi/Arduino, or real-time data acquisition.
    • Strong Python skills, with familiarity in data processing, automation, or system integration.
    • Experience in CAD modeling.
    • At least one published paper.
  • Preferred skills/prerequisites:
    • Experience with physics-based modeling, such as motion dynamis, conveyor systems, material flow, sensor modeling, or process modeling.
    • Previous teaching experience in machine learning and digital twins.
    • Familiarity with Unity, NVIDIA Isaac, or similar software.
    • Hands-on experience with ROS 2.

BrainX Lab

  • Seeking master's and undergraduate students in AI, clinical neural signal processing, parkinson's disease research, deep brain stimulation, and biomedical data science
    • Postion is paid hourly. Volunteer positions open in addition
    • Required:
      • MATLAB, Python experience.
      • Basic knowledge of neural electrophysiological signal processing and data analysis.
      • Strong problem solving skills, willingness to learn interdisciplinary research topics, ability to work independently.

      • Experience with PyTorch or other deep learning-related tools.
