The Great Lakes Research Center (GLRC) at Michigan Tech is always interested in exceptionally qualified people and innovative programs that support research growth.  If you have a PhD or significant research experience, are a US citizen or permanent resident, and are interested in a career in research, consider joining our team.

The GLRC is looking for team members committed to research and the development and practical application of science and technology to solve critical problems.  The GLRC is interested in researchers and scientists with core competencies in:

  • Ecosystem processes in the Great Lakes and coastal oceans
  • Development of autonomous marine technologies
  • Climate change, modeling and resiliency
  • Marine technology and engineering 
  • Sensing applied to marine environments
  • Marine observations including sea-ice dynamics and Polar processes
