Dean, College of Engineering
The dean of the College of Engineering (CoE) is a forward-thinking, innovative, and collaborative leader who provides strategic leadership in the College. The dean is the chief academic and administrative officer in the college, reporting directly to the provost, and shapes the vision for the role of the CoE within the University, the State of Michigan, higher education, and society at large. The dean provides leadership to the CoE department chairs and works with other administrators (vice presidents, deans, and directors) as well as faculty, staff, and students to promote excellence in research, teaching, and service. The dean is responsible for fostering successful collaborations among personnel within the CoE, other areas of the University, and external constituencies.

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering (CEGE) at Michigan Technological University invites applications for an instructional track faculty position in transportation engineering at the assistant teaching professor level. Applicants with the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and accomplishments commensurate with a higher rank will also be considered for an appointment at the rank of associate teaching professor, teaching professor, or professor of practice. The successful candidate should be able to teach a variety of transportation and transportation engineering/design classes beginning in August 2024. The candidate may be expected to teach some other courses across CEGE curriculum as well.
Assistant Professor, Geotechnical Engineering
The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering (CEGE) at Michigan Technological University invites applications for an assistant professor tenure-track faculty position in the area of geotechnical engineering. Applicants for the position are required to have a doctorate in civil engineering or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates will demonstrate an interest in developing strong research and educational programs within CEGE, and in collaboration with other programs at the university and with industry. Priority research areas include but are not limited to, computational geotechnics, data-driven and AI modeling, soil-structure interactions, soil dynamics, natural hazards, and offshore geotechnics. The Department of Computer Science in the College of Computing at Michigan Technological University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. The anticipated start date is August 2024.

Michigan Technological University Department of Computer Science (CS) invites applications for an instructional track faculty position at the assistant teaching professor level. Applicants with the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and accomplishments commensurate with a higher rank will also be considered for an appointment at the rank of associate teaching professor, teaching professor, or professor of practice. The successful candidate should be able to teach data science and machine learning courses beginning August 2024 (or as early as January 2024). The candidate may be expected to teach some other courses across CS curriculum as well.

Assistant Research Engineer
The Assistant Research Engineer/Scientist will maintain department testing equipment, including MTS hydraulic test rigs, Tinius-Olsen testing machines, Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), and similar devices. Provide testing services and support to students, researchers, and faculty. Manage measurement equipment in the Nucor Metrology Center. Provide instruction on the proper usage of devices and provide support to users. Participate in the planning and development of educational materials and other resources for teaching of undergraduate laboratory courses in mechanical engineering practice and manufacturing processes.
