Department Chair

The College of Engineering at Michigan Technological University invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering to begin July 1, 2023. The department seeks an individual who has a demonstrated record of scholarly and administrative achievement. The Chair will lead the Chemical Engineering faculty in our mission of excellence in education, research, and service while promoting a culture of safety and a welcoming inclusive environment. Michigan Technological University invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Exceptionally qualified candidates would be considered for an open endowed chair that is available in the Department.


Research Assistant Professor

Professor Lei Pan in the Department of Chemical Engineering invites applications for a research assistant professor position to begin as early as May 2023. Applicants for the position are required to have earned doctorates in chemical engineering, mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, or a closely related field. Research areas and expertise are of interest, including mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and CO2 mineralization.


Professor of Practice

Assistant Professor, Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering at Michigan Technological University invites applications for assistant professor, tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants for the positions are required to have a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related discipline. The university’s Tech Forward initiatives focus on building research in autonomous and intelligent systems, data revolution and sensing, natural resources, water and energy, and sustainability and resilience.
