Excellence and Integrity in Research

The Associate Vice President for Research Development provides strategic leadership while focusing on coordinating and promoting excellence and integrity in research. This includes the facilitation of developmental opportunities, the oversight of both academic and virtual centers or institutes and shared facilities and activities related to the translation of research discoveries into application.

Research development includes providing proposal and team development support, assisting with funding searches, and holding networking and research development workshops as well as helping identify industry and federal research sponsors and providing either oversight via the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUD), the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).

While I am currently Associate Vice President for Research Development, I also have a joint faculty appointment with the Department of Social Sciences and the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science.

I have two main research foci: indigeneity and environmental stewardship and socio-technological system transitions toward climate change mitigation and adaptation.
