About 

In order to support a safe and just campus community, the Conflict Resolution Network at Michigan Technological University is a diverse team of faculty and staff who approaches conflict resolution and student conduct from an educational, restorative and developmental perspective. The Conflict Resolution Network provides a variety of conflict resolution options, training, and services to guide faculty, staff, and students in managing and resolving conflict through a variety of conflict resolution options including: Conflict Coaching, Facilitated Dialogue, Mediation, Restorative Practices, and Shuttle Diplomacy.

Confidential Assistance

If you would like details of a complaint or incident kept confidential, these below resources are not required to tell anyone your private, personally identifiable information unless there is a significant case of fear for your safety or the safety of others.

Michigan Tech Confidential Resources

  • The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being offers a partnership for mental health support services through the TELUS Health Student Support Program. The program provides year-round support to Michigan Tech students. All features offered by the previous MySSP program remain, including free mental health support with access to master’s level clinicians available 24/7; real-time phone, chat and text services as well as ongoing scheduled video sessions; and emergency/crisis support services. Options for language, culture and shared identity matching with counselors will also continue to be available. 
    Existing users of MySSP app are being prompted to update the app to the new TELUS Health app. For questions, please reach out to counseling@mtu.edu.
  • Michigan Tech Ombuds Office provides confidential mediation and conflict resolution services to students, staff and faculty. Email Susanna Peters at speters@mtu.edu.
