Biography

Annelise Doll serves as a Scholarly Communications Librarian at Michigan Technological University with expertise in academic publishing, federal research mandates, accessible education, and intellectual property. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan. She joined the Van Pelt and Opie Library in 2014 following her work as a processing archivist with History Associates, Inc. and became the administrator for Digital Commons @ Michigan Tech, work which earned her the title “Digital Commons All-Star” of the Digital Commons community.

Early in her tenure at Michigan Tech, Annelise assisted the Archives by preserving vital institutional knowledge in the first Core Archives Knowledge Educator (CAKE book) and successfully leading the critical initiative to select a platform replacement for the Copper Country Historical Images database. Currently, Annelise's work centers on amplifying the global reach, impact, and accessibility of Michigan Tech’s research, as well as championing openly licensed course materials. She chairs the university-wide Committee for Accessible and Affordable Learning Materials (CAALM) and leads the Textbook Affordability initiative in partnership with the Campus Store, a project focused on reducing financial barriers for students. She is a trained Michigan Tech Lean Facilitator, member of Michigan Tech’s Lean Active Green Belt community, and sits on the Lean Community Development Board.
