The Institute of Computing and Cybersystems are accepting applications for Faculty Research Fellowships. Through this award, tenure-track faculty will be able to buy out of a course during the upcoming semesters. In return, fellows will perform preliminary research and experiments in support of new research, develop and submit proposals to external funding opportunities, and report their activities and achievements to ICC and/or GLRC. Subsequent awards following the fellowship will run through ICC and/or GLRC to support ongoing member support activities.
Applications are still open! Submissions are reviewed on pending funding availability.
Particularly encouraged elements include interdisciplinary teams, teams including external collaborators, and a clear connection to growing the relevant research community at Michigan Tech. Applicants should consider as a general benchmark submission of a minimum of three funding proposals totaling more than $2 million, although more proposals and larger funding amounts are encouraged as are creative pursuits or funding opportunities outside of this general benchmark.
Please email icc-admin-l@mtu.edu for questions and to submit an application.
