Biography

With 15 years of middle and high school science teaching experience, Tom is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers, engineers, and innovators. In his role with the College of Engineering, he leverages his extensive background in classroom STEM instruction -- teaching general science, biology, environmental science, and chemistry -- to create impactful opportunities that encourage students to explore and pursue engineering career fields.

Over a 30-year career Tom's experience with state and federal agencies, schools, and private businesses shapes his holistic approach to modern engineering engagement.

Tom's goal is to foster curiosity and build accessible pathways into STEM, connecting students and educators with real-world applications that showcase the vital role engineering plays in shaping our future.
