Tech Vector is a scholarship program solely for students majoring in electrical, computer, and robotics engineering at Michigan Tech. Connect with and learn from Vector industry partners, while lightening your financial load and gaining a truly hands-on education.

Connect with Industry

We are securing partnerships across the electrical, computer, and robotics engineering industries to fund scholarships with up to five years of support. Want in on the deal? Just follow the requirements below to remain eligible.

  • Major in electrical, computer, or robotics engineering
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Participate in the ECE Vector virtual networking events
  • Send or create an annual “thank you” letter or video
  • Meet with your advisor each semester

What Does it Mean to Participate in the Vector Program?

As a student, you will have lab reports to write, tests to prepare for, and exploration to be done. We want to lighten your load, so the Vector Program only has a few participation requirements: Post your resume, share a video about yourself and your interests, and attend virtual networking events. Yes, it’s really that easy!

What is the Vector Portal?

The Vector Portal is an online Canvas course where you build your connections and learn from our industry partners. The more effort you put in, the more opportunities you will gain! Our industry partners will:

  • Answer your questions about the electrical, computer, and robotic engineering industry and what you can do to prepare for your career
  • Review your resume and provide constructive feedback
  • Offer advice on professional development
  • Post potential interview, co-op, or career opportunities
