About Me

I was born and mostly raised in Kentucky but consider Michigan home, since my time here has been the most formative of my life. I’ve lived on Lake Michigan in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area, but I am excited to experience life on Lake Superior in the U.P. I love spending time outdoors, whether it be hiking, kayaking, biking, camping, or cross-country skiing. I am currently working on my Master’s in the Rhetoric, Theory, and Culture program here at Tech.

My research interests include Continental Philosophy, particularly phenomenology, and revolve around shame and the body. In my free time, you can find me with my dogs either reading, crafting (mostly macrame, painting, and fiber art), listening to music, watching a documentary, eating (I love food, but coffee is my favorite food group), or spending time outside. I am so honored to be a part of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and am excited to meet you all!
