Gary Krasicky graduated from Michigan Tech with high honors, earning a BS in Chemistry in 1977. That same day, he was commissioned as an Air Force second lieutenant and then attended the University of Michigan Medical School on a Health Professions Scholarship. Lina Tormen Taskovich ’52 studied chemistry and chemical engineering at Michigan Tech almost thirty years before Sally Heidtke, and she has some words of wisdom for women students too: "Study a field you like—you have to spend all your life working in it. David J Pruett, from Pontiac, Michigan, earned a BS (1974) and MS (1975) in Chemistry at Michigan Technological University and a PhD (1978) at Michigan State University.
