Stephen F. (Steve) Hahn is from Midland, MI and earned his BS in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University in 1982 and an MS in Chemistry from Central Michigan University in 1990. Steve joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1982 and has worked in a variety of research and new business development functions since that time. He currently heads Dow’s Ventures and Business Development group in the San Francisco/Silicon . . .

Ping Yang graduated from Michigan Tech with a PhD in Chemistry in 2005 and is the Deputy Director of the G.T. Seaborg Institute for Transactinium Science and a Staff Scientist in the "Physics and Chemistry of Materials" group of the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).  She has extensive experience in computational approaches to modeling electronic structure and reactivity of actinides, surface . . .

Dave Peters '87, BS, chemistry, from Dansville, Michigan, works for BASF in technical services. He chose to come to Michigan Tech because a high-school teacher told him he wouldn't succeed here. "I wanted to prove him wrong," Peters remembers. He says he proved to be "stupid but saveable." "My grades weren't great," he says. "But after being here and doing what I needed to do to get a degree, I knew I could go anywhere . . .
