Dr. Winans received his B.S. in Chemistry from Michigan Tech in 1971 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Cornell in 1975. He joined the Chemistry Division at Argonne National Laboratory where he is now Senior Chemist. Kim Hilton, also known as Chemical Kim, earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Secondary Education Certification at Michigan Technological University in 1991. During her time at Tech, she was an active member of the student chapter of the American Chemical Society, a sister of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, a lab assistant, a chemistry tutor and a participant in cross country and track.
