Sarah Carlson is Associate Chief of Surgery for Operations at the VA Boston Medical Center, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Boston University. Dr. Carlson graduated magna cum laude from MTU with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2003 and then attended the University of Michigan Medical School, where she earned a master’s degree in clinical research and an MD in 2008. Kim Hilton, also known as Chemical Kim, earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Secondary Education Certification at Michigan Technological University in 1991. During her time at Tech, she was an active member of the student chapter of the American Chemical Society, a sister of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, a lab assistant, a chemistry tutor and a participant in cross country and track. In 1985 and 1988 respectively, Jill received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry from Michigan Tech. After graduating from Michigan Tech, Jill accepted a position with Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan.
