Jake Isaacson was named the head coach of the Michigan Tech track and field program in June 2016. He also serves as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the cross country program.

Isaacson spent the 2015-16 school year as a graduate assistant coach with the track and field and cross country programs at Michigan Tech. Previous to Tech, he was an assistant coach with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The native of Menominee, Michigan, attended Grand Valley State, where he was an NCAA Division II All-American in cross country in 2012. He was also a two-time qualifier in the steeplechase at the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships.

As a prep athlete at Menominee High School, Isaacson was the UP Champion in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in 2008. 

Isaacson is currently pursuing a second graduate degree in Master of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan Tech. He also holds degrees from Indiana State University and Grand Valley State.
