Jarrod has over 25 years of IT experience at Michigan Tech. He has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from Michigan Tech and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin Executive Education Center.

Matt has over 10 years of IT experience at Michigan Tech. He has a BS in Social Science and an MBA from Michigan Tech. He holds multiple certifications including IT Service Operations, IT Lean, and a Master's Certificate in IT Service Management from Villanova University.

Emmett has 27 years of experience in IT, 23 of which have been with Enterprise Application Services at Michigan Tech. He has a BS in Management Information Systems from Northwood University and an MBA from Michigan Tech.

Sean has enjoyed supporting higher education information technology for more than 20 years and has spent the last 10 years focused on information assurance, risk, and compliance. Prior to coming to Michigan Tech, Sean served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a statewide system of higher education and as CISO and Manager of Web Services for a multi-campus community college. Sean earned his bachelor degree from Northern Arizona University and is pursuing a master's degree. He holds multiple IT and cybersecurity-focused certifications.

Pat has been involved in Information Technology at Michigan Tech since starting as a student work study in 1996 and was first hired as a System Administrator in the Systems Administrative Services (SAS) department in 2000. Pat enjoys mentoring the next generation of Information Technology employees through his work with Michigan Tech Information Technology's large group of student employees.

Alex has been at Michigan Tech for over 15 years. He has a BS in Management Information Systems from Michigan Tech and serves as chair on the Data Stewardship Council.

Blanca has over 13 years of experience in IT, 10 of which have been in IT technical management. She has a BS in Computer Science from Marian University. Prior to joining Michigan Tech, Blanca has held a diverse set of leadership roles within the corporate, private and public sectors. She has led and managed teams in media services, service delivery, configuration management and security risk management and compliance.

Karen has over 25 years of IT experience. She has a BS in Accounting from Michigan Tech. Prior to coming to Michigan Tech, Karen has over 12 years of banking experience.

Patti is the Assistant to the Chief Information Officer and provides support for the IT Leadership Team. She received an Associate's degree from Northern Michigan University and completed the University's Office Professional Development Program. She has been at the University for over 25 years and has served on various University committees, including Staff Council.

Biography

Gowtham, with a PhD in Engineering Physics from Michigan Tech, has 5+ years of IT experience. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering, and teaches Scientific Computing courses (UN5390/UN5395) during the school year.

He is a member of the HPC Advisory Council, IEEE Computer Society, ACM Special Interest Group on High Performance Computing, science advisor to John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and Michigan Tech's NSF XSEDE Campus Champion.
