The Michigan Tech Graduate School collects all student applications. There is no cost to apply to the Graduate School at Michigan Tech whether you choose to complete an online or paper application. Visit their How to Apply page when you're ready to proceed with the application process.

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Résumé / Curriculum vitae
  • Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • No GRE Requirement
  • Please include in your Student Statements experience with Geospatial software and hardware, if any.

International Students

  • TOEFL: Required Score of 79 iBT
  • IELTS: Required Overall Band Score of 6.5
Due to recent changes within our University, Michigan Tech requires a minimum 79 overall TOEFL or 6.5 overall IELTS score.
