Student Leadership and Involvement

Michigan Tech provides many opportunities for leadership and involvement. Involvement in leadership opportunities promotes individual and group development in the areas of interpersonal communication, teamwork, leadership, ethics, civic responsibility, and global/cultural awareness.

Career Services

Career Services connects students, employers, alumni, faculty, and staff. They help students communicate the unique skill sets they have developed, both in and outside the classroom. Our collaborative programming and coaching launches and supports career journeys. All services provided by Career Services are available virtually and staff are eager to connect with you.

Experience Tech

Experience Tech provides students with access to Michigan Tech activities and events. With up-to-date information on activities ranging from theatre and music to sports, students have the opportunity to have a full experience of Tech.

First Friday Social

Each month, First Friday Social brings together Michigan Tech faculty, staff, graduate students and retirees for informal conversations.

Fraternity and Sorority Life

Fraternity and Sorority Life at Michigan Tech focuses on the core values of scholarship, leadership, service, and community. They seek to redefine the Greek experience by advancing fraternal ideals through a commitment to their rituals and by providing the foundation for lifelong brotherhood and sisterhood.

Graduate Student Government

The Graduate Student Government at Michigan Tech advocates for the interests of all graduate students. It also organizes academic, social, and professional development activities for graduate students. All new incoming students are encouraged to participate in Graduate Student Government events and activities.

Leadership Opportunities

Leadership Opportunities are numerous at Michigan Tech. Involvement in leadership opportunities promotes individual and group development in the areas of interpersonal communication, teamwork, leadership, ethics, civic responsibility and global/cultural awareness. The HuskyLEAD program encourages all students, from campus leaders and student organization officers, to individuals who just want to learn, to elevate their leadership skills by learning the best techniques, tips, and tricks for their personal, organizational, academic, and professional success. HuskyLEAD offers virtual workshops throughout the semester to enhance students' leadership skills.

Michigan Tech's 244 Registered Student Organizations feature topics ranging from social, club sports, academics, service, and everything in between.

Undergraduate Student Government

Undergraduate Student Government at Michigan Tech offers many services to the school's 7,000+ students. Focused on allocating funds to 244 student organizations on campus, USG supports orgs of all sizes and themes. Within USG, there are liaisons, advisors, and student representatives. These positions are meant to encompass all aspects of student life here at Tech.
