Biography
Kurt is married and resides in Hancock since retiring from LyondellBasell Industries, LP or predecessor companies after 36 years. He worked in research and engineering activities primarily centered around process control and optimization. He had the opportunity to work on projects and audits at over 15 plants in Europe and the U.S. He completed projects at olefins, polyethylene, polypropylene, propylene oxide, styrene, polyols, MTBE, and hydrocarbons plants. Most recently his work focused on applying Aspen Technology Manufacturing Suite of products to controlling polymer properties utilizing neural networks. He is continuing to consult with LyondellBasell in that regard. Kurt and his wife Barb have four children and seven grandchildren.
