CADT is Commercial Average Daily Traffic. RMA is Rubber Modified Asphalt.

For each CADT range in this case and a PASER for a fair surface the cost estimate is $70–$100 per ton and the performance is estimated to extend surface life 15 years (rubber modified surface) or $4–$6 per square yard and the performance is estimated to extend surface life 7 years (hot rubber chip seal).

  • Rubber modified surface (1.5")

  • Hot rubber chip seal

One layer at 1.5" over original or hot rubber chip seal over original.

CADT 500–1,000

Recommended Maintenance Method for RMA
