Matthew Bissett

Matt Bissett is a connector, problem solver, and life-long learner. Today, Bissett is the chief executive officer and president of Atwell, LLC, after starting as an intern with the company 27 years ago. He sets the short- and long-term goals for business operations and drives the strategic growth of the company.

At his core, Bissett is an advisor. He is dedicated to understanding clients’ needs, goals, and aspirations, and supports them every step of the way. He understands the power of relationships and that truly great relationships take time. For Bissett, nothing is more satisfying than seeing those around him succeed.
 
Bissett's expertise as a professional surveyor, licensed in over 15 states, additionally includes client and stakeholder engagements, market positioning and problem solving, project siting, FEED studies, real estate due diligence inclusive of projects totaling hundreds of thousands of developmental acres and 5,000+ miles of right of way for electric transmission line, and pipeline facilities. He played a vital role in leading his team through market strategy development, client relationship growth, and overall business strategy.
 
A 1998 graduate of Ferris State University, Bissett continues to support the academic advancement of current and aspiring surveying professionals through personal and corporate contributions to a few of the dedicated geomatic universities in the state, including Michigan Tech, Ferris State, and Northern Michigan.
